With heavy hearts, we announce that Devin Albert, age 50, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025, while on a trip to Prince of Wales Island, Alaska. He leaves behind his wife, Isis Lee (Oliphant) Albert, of Rochester, Washington; his grandmother, Amy Courtney, of Chehalis, Washington; his parents, Mark and Victoria (Vickie Courtney) Albert, of East Helena, Montana; one aunt, three uncles and many cousins.

Devin was born in Chehalis on Feb. 4, 1974. He lived in Onalaska until graduating from OHS, class of 1992. He worked at Churchill Glove Factory his entire adult life.

Devin was a fun-loving, free-spirited man of conviction. Being an ardent music fan, he amassed an extensive yet eclectic collection of albums, concert tickets and musical trivia throughout his life. Devin also enjoyed cooking, particularly smoking meats and barbecuing. Other interests included firearms, movies and literature, as well as expressing his creativity through textile arts like leatherwork, sewing and mask-making. He also loved spending time with friends. Devin was always searching for knowledge. He took pleasure in debating with loved ones and imparting unusual information, often followed by telling the listener to "look it up."

Since infancy, Devin had a passion for motorcycles. As a baby, he would wake up from a nap while passing a sporting goods store in Chehalis and make "motorcycle sounds." Devin began operating dirt bikes as a teenager. For the past 25 years, he rode street bikes, including a custom pan-shovel built by a local motorcycle shop.

Devin will be remembered for his loyalty to his friends and family. He had a huge, kind heart, and his calm yet impactful presence will be missed greatly by many.

A memorial gathering will be held at 1 p.m. on April 11, 2025, at the Brooklyn Tavern (6211 N. River Road, Cosmopolis), a place Devin enjoyed riding to so he could visit with "the old-timers."
