In Loving Memory of Don Glacken: 1937-2021

Carroll “Don” Donald Glacken, 84, passed away peacefully at home Sunday, Aug. 1, 2021, in Rochester, Washington, surrounded by family. He was born on May 3, 1937, to Eileen and Carroll Glacken in Baltimore, Maryland. 

Don was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to be out on the water fishing, in the woods hunting or just enjoying taking photographs when he could. He had a passion for being outdoors and loved being able to spend time doing the things he loved. 

Don was an Air Force veteran and a member of the Boilermakers Union 502. 

Don is preceded in death by his mother, Eileen; father, Carroll; and his sister, Patricia. 

He is survived by Hope Glacken; his children, Donna (John), John, Steven (Michelle); his eight grandchildren, Michael, Samantha, Alyssa, Oscar, Kendra, Jessica, Kyle (Courtney), Mikala; six great-grandchildren, Trey, Travis, Braydyn, Aria, Taylor and Anthony; and his brother Gil (Sharon). 

The family would like to give a very special “thank you” to Bob, MaryEllen and Chuck Gross for their unconditional love and support that was given to Don. 

There will be a private graveside service at Grand Mound Cemetery and a public celebration of life that will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 7, at 5223 165th Lane SW, Rochester, Washington, 98579.
