In loving memory of Elsie Mae Randall: 1934-2025

Posted

Elsie Mae Bowen Randall, 90, a longtime resident of Lewis County who was born Aug. 16, 1934, transitioned to heaven Jan. 22, 2025.

Elsie Mae was one of the first classes to graduate from the new school. She graduated in 1952 from White Pass High School in Randle. She loved her hometown and everyone in it. She spent her life helping others. It didn’t matter if she just met you or you were her favorite relative. She was someone you could always count on.

She was quite a driver. There are probably hundreds of people reading this who have received a ride in her car. She drove hundreds of thousands of miles and wore out many cars, starting with a 1953 Chevy and going to her last car, a 2012 Nissan Altima. Much of this was done while holding down a full-time job at the post office and later at the Randle veneer plant. After moving from Randle, Elsie spent time at the Stillwater Colonial Residence.

Elsie Mae is survived by her children, Darrell (Darby) Randall, Deanna (Phil) Russell and Darlene (Gerry) Goble; grandchildren, Michelle (Mike) Morrow, Sherri (Jess) Hiatt, Amanda (Michael) O’Neill, Roy (Sarah) Goble, Melyna (Brett) Kimball and Micah Randall; great-grandchildren, working around the clock, Allison (Elliott), Myah, Andy, Brandon, Evan, Avery, Capri, Lucy, Samantha, Lily, Madeline and Brooke; and great-great-grandson, Rhett.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Vra Bowen; brothers, Charles, Leon and Evie; sister, Dorlene, and her husband of 57 years, Lynn Randall.

Her last written words to her family, after she said how much she loved us, were “see you all later!”
