Erica Kirsten Engle was born in Mekinock Township, North Dakota, to C. Tracy and Carol O'Brien and passed peacefully at home in Adna.

She spent her childhood moving around the United States with her parents, landing in Adna as an elementary student. Erica graduated from W.F. West High School in 1988, married her high school sweetheart and moved to Guam with him. She returned to the Adna area and raised six children. She was a lover of British murder mysteries, Agatha Christie, Janet Evanovich and an avid reader. She went back to school in her 40s and received her associate’s degree from Centralia College, a bachelor's degree from Evergreen College and her master's degree from Multnomah University.

She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, and all things Disney.

Erica is survived by her husband, Ryan; her parents, C. Tracy and Carol O'Brien; brother, Matthew O'Brien; children, Nathan, Rush and wife Caroline, Arin, Isaac, Jonah and wife Hannah, and Tovah; and grandchildren, RJ and Taryn. She is preceded in death by Taryn Michal and Ahvri Taleah.

A celebration of life will be held at noon on Jan. 25, 2025, at Calvary Chapel Centralia, 2308 N. Pearl St., Centralia, Washington.
