Jim Greger passed away in Yakima on July 1, 2021. He was born in Yakima on April 9, 1933. He went to school at Boistfort and graduated from Adna High School in 1952. He married Elsie Richter and lived in Chehalis until 1972 when they divorced. He worked for the City of Chehalis, Goodyear, Tigares, and retired from Fred Meyer, working in the warehouse. He was preceded in death by father and mother, Jake and Betty Greger; and brothers, Delbert and Gene Greger. He is survived by children, Mary Cottonware, Phil Greger, Patty Reed, Julie Davis and Dianna Wilks; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many cousins in the Yakima area; former wife and good friend, Marion Whipple, and her children, Robert and Lonnie.
A graveside service will be held on July 12, 2021, at Claquato Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. A potluck is to follow at Chehalis Eagles.
