In Loving Memory of Jody Denise Lusk: 1976-2022

Jody Denise Lusk, 45, unexpectedly passed away at home on March 16, 2022. Jody was born in Bremerton, Washington, on May, 27, 1976. 

She is survived by her parents Leslie and Jackie Lusk, sister Cherie Lusk Wright (Terence Wright), two nephews Jackson Lusk and Vaughn Wright, her aunt Susie Anderson and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

After Jody graduated from high school she settled in Doty, Washington, where her heart was. 

Jody was a hard worker. She drove logging trucks, haul packs at TransAlta, was a corrections officer, and a crime victim's advocate. Jody received a degree in criminal justice. Jody was a beautiful soul and was loved by many. She had a quick wit and a great sense of humor. 

Jody loved animals. She raised cows, horses and had five dogs. 

Jody was named queen of Little Britches Rodeo and queen of Kitsap County Rodeo. 

Jody was preceded in death by her grandparents Ernest and Louise Lusk, and Edward (Jack) and Erma Slaughter, her uncle Butch Slaughter and cousin Andy Anderson. 

There will be a potluck celebration of life for Jody at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at the Vet's Hall in Pe Ell, Washington. 

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Fir Lawn Funeral Chapel.
