In Loving Memory of Katherine Diane (Hatcher) Snyder: 1944-2021

Katherine Diane (Hatcher) Snyder, of Rochester, passed away at Providence Centralia Hospital, on Dec. 28, 2021, after a brief illness. She was born Aug. 25, 1944, in Seattle, Washington. She spent her earliest years on Bainbridge Island and then moved to Bremerton when she was very young. She attended West High School and was a member of the class of 1962.

Kathi married David Antrobus and had two daughters. They lived in Bremerton, Washington, Oceanside, California and Colts Neck, New Jersey. David was in the Marine Corps during Vietnam. Kathi was often raising the young girls alone while David served. After David's death, Kathi eventually married Glenn Snyder (Butch) in 1969. They had two boys together. This union expanded her family with two stepchildren, Glenn III and Sheila. Kathi and Butch enjoyed 53 years of marriage together.

Kathi and Butch moved to the Lewis County area in the early 70s. They lived in numerous towns in the area, making many friends. In the seventies, Kathi and Butch were active members of the local CB club. Throughout the years, Kathi was in several church groups in the area. She loved spending time listening to music, especially country and gospel music. She was also an avid reader of many books. Kathi's favorite hobby was sewing, quilting and embroidering. Kathi loved sewing clothing and quilts. She made quilts for many family members and friends. They were always a blessing to anyone who received one. She would often create things to send overseas to the troops. She loved visiting with family and friends, either in person or via Facebook. She had a good sense of humor and always enjoyed a good joke. Above all else, Kathi was extremely proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Kathi is survived by her husband Glenn (Butch) Snyder, Jr.; her two daughters Tracey Antrobus Rook (Brad) of Hurricane, Utah, and Rikki Antrobus LeBaron of Milwaukie, Oregon; two sons Clint (Samantha) of Chehalis, Washington and Scott (Kellie) of Hurricane, Utah; stepson Glenn III (Jamie) of Carmichael, California; grandchildren Tiffany Stodola Brown (Jason), Tarah Stodola Evans (Matt), Jami LeBaron (Jamie Dunphy), AJ LeBaron (Leanna), Courtney Snyder, Brittany Snyder, Austin Snyder, Andrew Snyder, Jacob Reimche, Emma Green and Noah Garcia; and six great-grandchildren. Kathi also leaves behind several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Clarence (Curly) and Doris Hatcher of Bremerton; her sisters Phylliss Robertson of Bremerton, Washington and Joyce Sharon of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida; and stepdaughter Shelia Voss of Richland, Washington.

Cremation arrangements are being made by Cattermole Funeral Home in Winlock, Washington.

The family is hoping to have a memorial service in the spring.
