Kenneth William Anderson passed away on Nov. 12, 2024, in Olympia, with his loving family by his side. He was 83. 

Ken was born in Centralia and grew up in Rochester. Ken was a standout athlete at Rochester High School in several sports and was particularly proud to be a member of the 1958 Centralia American Legion Baseball Team inducted into the Washington State American Legion Baseball Hall of Fame in 2023. 

Ken was the superintendent of Toledo School District from 1976 to 1984. The "Toledo Years" were full of happy times and wonderful friendships for him and his family. Ken cared deeply about the students and faculty under his care at Toledo and all other stops during his career in education.
