In Loving Memory of Lenice Larson

Posted

Lenice Ione (Briggs) Larson passed away at home with her husband of 60 years, Harlan (Huck) Larson, on Friday, May 13, 2022. Lenice or Lennie, as she was affectionately called, was preceded in death by her parents Ruth and Lew Briggs Sr., her brother Lew Briggs Jr., and her oldest son Tim Larson. Lenice is survived by her husband Harlan (Huck) Larson; her children and their spouses Jeff and Kelli Larson, Teresa Larson and Sandy Davis, and daughter-in-law Jonette Larson; her cherished grandchildren Tess Larson, Dani Larson and Travis Larson; and her devoted Dachshund – Bandit.

Lenice was born and raised in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, where she met and married Huck. They moved to Puyallup, Washington in 1967 where they stayed for several years, before moving around Southwest Washington and eventually making Salkum their home for the past 20-plus years.

Lenice held a variety of jobs throughout her lifetime, but most enjoyed being a server at Anton’s Restaurant in Puyallup and the Back Door Restaurant in Centralia where she could swap stories and jokes with her coworkers and the regulars. Lenice and Huck spent the majority of their “free time” attending their children’s and eventually their grandchildren’s sporting events and musical concerts, as well as camping, hunting and fishing.

The family will have a private celebration of life at a later date.
