Nancy Marie Sawyer, born Aug. 29, 1951, in Chehalis, Washington, to Alfred and Maxine Chromey from Toledo, Washington. She passed away at her Astoria, Oregon, home on Nov. 7, 2021.
She graduated from St. Mary's Academy, Toledo, Washington, in 1969 and married Steve Damewood from Toledo in 1971. Nancy enjoyed working in the fish processing business in Chinook, Washington, for many years.
She moved to Astoria, Washington, and was employed at the Columbia Memorial Hospital where she retired in 2020.
Nancy married Jim Sawyer in 2012. She was preceded in death by her first husband Steve and her sister Deborah Oberg.
She is survived by her husband Jim, Astoria, Oregon, brother Jim Chromey (Kristen) Olympia, Washington, and sister Janie Austin (Jim) Oakville, Washington.
A graveyard service will be held at St. Francis Mission Cemetery, Toledo, Washington, on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021 at 1 p.m.
