Randy had sarcastic humor, a quick wit and a wide smile on wheels. He had a love for models (the kind you put together, although he loved the ones who walked on the runway, too), restoring classic cars — especially his ‘65 Pontiac LeMans — NASCAR, fishing, family time and a cold MGD. Every August, you would find Randy at the drag races surrounded by friends and family soaking up the sun, the smell of race fuel and the rumble of cars as they raced down the track.
He was survived by his daughter, Randi Jo; son-in-law, Ken; brothers, Rick, Ronnie, Ryan and Patrick; sisters, Judy, Michele and Melissa; granddaughter, Kiya; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fredrick Wichert; stepmom, Linda Wichert; and his grandma, Dorothy Wichert.
Please join us for his service at 11 a.m. March 7 at St. Francis Xavier Mission, 139 Spencer Road, Toledo. This will be immediately followed by a graveside service at the Winlock cemetery.
“Let no one weep for me or celebrate my funeral with mourning; for I still live, as I pass to and fro through the mouths of men.”
