Posted

Rebecca Ann (Ward) Fadness was born in Eugene, Oregon, April, 15, 1953. She worked many years in the Centralia area as a caregiver through Copes. In July, 1994, she was introduced by a friend to her husband to be while he was on vacation from his job as a chaser and logger for the Weyerhaeuser Company Vail operations. The pair found out that they had a lot in common and after surviving living together and being part of a much larger family they tied the knot of matrimony. The couple moved to their secluded ranch on 10 acres across the Thurston County line in Centralia. She loved living in the woods and the simple country life. She was a wonderful mother, friend, daughter and wife. She faced numerous battles the last several years, including surviving stage three lung cancer. She fought a final battle but her body was unable to overcome. She will be missed by her husband Steven Fadness, of Centralia, her three children David Ward, of Aberdeen, Susan Ward, of Plains, Montana, and Steven Ward, of Olympia. Also, six grandchildren, Brendan Ward, David Herring, Tom, Trevor, Travis and Rachel Linegar of Tacoma.
