Richard Bushnell passed away Jan. 15, 2023, in Olympia, Washington, at the age of 70. He was born July 30, 1952, to Kenneth and Freida Bushnell in Centralia, Washington, and graduated from Oakville High School in 1970.
Rick worked at a sawmill and shake mills. Most of his career was spent at Simpson Door Company in McCleary, Washington.
The most important thing to Rick was his family. He loved to spend time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He looked forward to all the holiday gatherings. He enjoyed time spent with his friends, and loved to hunt, fish and camp with friends and family.
Richard is survived by his wife of 47 years, Irene; children Sheila, Jamis and Max; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sisters Marie and Betty; as well as uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces and several childhood friends. He was preceded by his parents, and siblings Bonnie, Lee, Jim and Ed.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 24, 2023, at the Grand Mound Cemetery, 6300 183rd Ave. SW, Rochester, Washington, 98579.
