Richard “Dick” Gene Quarnstrom, 92, passed away on Oct. 15, 2024. Dick was born on July 27, 1932, in Bremerton, Washington, to George and Mae Quarnstrom.
Dick moved to the Goodrich Road at the age of 11 where he lived until his death. Dick farmed with his stepfather raising peas, corn and beans while working as the field manager for Symons Frozen Foods. He was active with the Lewis County Farm Bureau, Centralia Christian School Foundation, Gideons International, Fords Prairie Fire Department and the Centralia High School Advisory Board. Dick has been a member of the Presbyterian Church since 1952 where he was married to Lavina on Sept. 20.
He is survived by his wife, Lavina; children, Cindy, Linda (Tim) and Eric (Luz Mary); four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Donations may be made to the Harrison Square Building Fund, Assured Hospice or Gideons International.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 16, 2024, at the Harrison Square Presbyterian Church in Centralia.
