In Loving Memory of Richard Hadaller: 1930-2022

Richard Anton Hadaller passed away after a short stay at Love and Care Adult Family Home in Morton at the age of 92. He was born June 4, 1930, to Mathew and Elizabeth Hadaller. He grew up in Ethel and later lived in Salkum. 

Richard served in the Army during the Korean War. He was stationed in Germany and served as a military police officer for a time. 

Richard and his first wife, Emile, made a home with their four children in Ethel. He was employed as a logger and then worked in construction. He took his young family to pick berries, peel cascara, dig for clams and fish on the Cowlitz River. 

Later in life, Richard enjoyed traveling, square dancing, going to the senior citizen centers, eating out and visiting people. He often bragged about his children to other people. 

Richard leaves behind four children, John (Debra) Hadaller, Jim Hadaller, Julie Hadaller and Tom (Lisa) Hadaller. He had five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. 

Arrangements are under the care of Cattermole Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 23 at Ethel Cemetery. 

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Oct. 2, 2022 at the V. R. Lee Community Building, 221 SW 13th St., Chehalis, Washington.
