In Loving Memory of Roy Elliott: 1954-2021

Posted
Roy Crayton Elliott passed away on June 7, 2021, at the University of Washington Hospital with his family by his side. Roy was born at home on Sept. 7, 1954, in Malone, Washington, to his parents Henry and Faye Elliott. He was the oldest boy and the fifth of ten children.
Roy’s life was a living example of great persistence and unwavering integrity. Living on his own from a young age, Roy set out to create a better life for himself. He attended schools, in Olympia, Rochester and Centralia later receiving his GED from the University of Oregon. He always said he rode the school bus just to get to town. Later he worked as a logger in Alaska, and was a long time employee of Centralia Steam Plant before becoming a self-employed business owner. He had a passion for large equipment, classic cars, and anything he deemed as a quality treasure. However, his greatest passion was spending quality time with his family and friends.
Roy was an honest and compassionate person who always supported his loved ones with profound advice and dependability. He was a man of his word and a pillar of strength for his family and community. His wisdom will be deeply missed, however, will live on through those he was closest to.
Roy is survived by his wife of 29 years Brenda Elliott; son Brandon (Gayla) Elliott; daughter Rochelle (Chris) Benke; step-children Randy, Phaedra and Brandon (Natalie) Hamrick; his grandchildren Chloe, Skye and Connie Elliott, Callie and Cayden Benke, Madisen Lester, and Haze and Tru Hamrick. Roy’s surviving siblings include Deborah (Harley) Reed, Delores (Larry) Gerard, Mikel Elliott, Emery (Kari) Elliott, Melvin (Leslie) Elliott, and Bonnie (James) Allee; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Marvin Elliott, and sisters Ila Pen and Faye Palmer.
