Steven Thomas Weaver went to be with his Lord on Sept. 22, 2021, after a long fight with cancer. He was born July 5, 1952, in Zuni, New Mexico. He spent his early years in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He came to know the saving grace of Jesus as a young man. He moved with his family in his teenage years to Ruidoso, New Mexico. His parents, Minton and Mildred Weaver, passed away when he was a teenager. Steve worked as an iron worker but had issues with drugs and alcohol that controlled his life for many years. He was married briefly to Christine and they had a son, Beau. While on the streets in Albuquerque he had a faithful companion named Geri. After her death, he moved to Washington, answering the unwavering prayers of his sisters. He lived with his sister and brother-in-law Sandy and Jim Papineau in Chehalis, Washington, and spent many summers with sister and brother-in-law Suellen and Bill. He renewed his faith and trust in Jesus and looked to Heaven in his last days. In addition to his sisters, he is survived by nephews Paul White (Jill); Tom White (Erin); Caleb Papineau (Jamie); Sam Papineau (Stacey); Stephen Papineau (Susan); Jesse Papineau (Sara); Brian Weaver and niece Sarah Centeno (Ben). He has many great nieces and nephews he came to know and love: Lily, Nicholas, Emma, Tanner, Shelby, Cody White, Ella, Audrey, Abigail, Rachel, Amelia and Jonah Papineau.
