John Karboski passed away peacefully Nov. 29, 2019, at Hospice in Longview, Wash. He was born to Joseph and Wanda Karboski Jan. 7, 1930, in Dryad, Wash.
John served two years in the United States Army. He married his wife, Lois Wooster, July 30, 1951. He worked for Weyerhaeuser Company for 32 years before retiring in 1992.
John is survived by his wife of 68 years, Lois; one brother, Carl Karboski; children, Doug Karboski, Sandy (Rand) LeBaron, Terry Karboski and James (Dawn) Karboski; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joseph and Frank; and sister, Helen.
A celebration of life for John will begin at 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020, at the Kelso Elks, 900 Ash St., Kelso, WA 98626. Memorial contributions in John's name can be made to Community Home Health and Hospice, 1035 11th Ave., Longview, WA 98632.
