Letter to the editor: Angie Brown’s knowledge and experience would benefit Lewis County PUD

Posted

I ask all of you to join me and vote for Angie Brown for Lewis County Public Utility District (PUD) commissioner in District 2.

She is clearly the best choice for this position, as she has served on several boards in Lewis County, always keeping the community’s best interest at the heart of her service.

She has served on the Pe Ell School Board, is the secretary for Lewis County Fire District 11, has been president and secretary for the United Way of Lewis County, is on the Visiting Nurses Foundation Board and works for Lewis County Title as their business development coordinator.  She also volunteers for the PUD broadband champion group and the customer review board, advocating for the community.

She has dedicated her life to serving her community and advocating for customers, volunteering with youth sports teams and is always active with Relay for Life. She is a reading buddy, a Future Business Leaders of America judge, and she helps with the Forgotten Children’s Fund and works closely with scholarship committees.

In short, she knows what serving on a board or commission is all about and, with her 20-plus years experience, she will do an excellent job.

I have known Angie Brown for many, many years and consider her part of our family. She is the most loyal and dedicated person that I know. Her focus for this position will be responsible budgeting, affordable rates and advocating for the community. These are qualities that we need for the PUD commissioner, and I believe that Angie Brown is the right candidate.

She loves this community and, with her knowledge and experience, I know that she will do an excellent job as PUD commissioner.

Please join me and vote Angie Brown for PUD commissioner, District 2.
