Letter to the Editor: Another Month Without Answers in Aron Christensen Death

Posted

Well here we are starting another month, and still no release from the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office regarding the truth of their extremely botched investigation into the death of Aron Christensen.

It has become apparent to me that Sheriff Rob Snaza is trying to hide something from the citizens of Lewis County. Why is the truth so hard for some people? How can a man’s ego become so inflated that he can no longer take responsibility for his mistakes?

Snaza knew the shooter and manner of death two days after it occurred. It was stated they were “nice kids.” Christensen’s family is told he could have died from a heart attack.

About seven days later, the coroner said Christensen died from a gunshot wound.

Here is a theory: LCSO threw out the heart attack statement hoping Christensen’s family would accept it and not pursue it any further. This way, Snaza could protect the “nice kids” and the mess his deputy made at the scene would never be known.

Whatever his plans, they have backfired. He has committed political suicide, and will never see a third term.

The death of Aron Christensen has become, and will remain his legacy, the forever black mark against his law enforcement career.
