Letter to the Editor: Help Support Lewis County’s Free Medical Clinic

Posted

Did you know that Lewis County has a free medical clinic? When I speak with local churches, businesses or even friends, most don't know that our area has a clinic.

We serve the under-insured and those in poverty in the area as well as sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. We open a clinic every Tuesday night at Northwest Pediatrics at 5 p.m., just across the street from the hospital in Centralia.

The clinic has different needs to keep it continuing each week. On Aug. 6, at the Chehalis-Centralia Railroad & Museum, we are having our annual train ride fundraiser. I know a lot of you missed it last year, and we are excited to have this well-loved event back.

You can enjoy a beautiful evening through the countryside, incredible food at the destination and live music. To purchase tickets for this fundraiser, visit HHMO.org/events.

All of the proceeds go directly to the clinic and its needs. You have the great opportunity to help your local nonprofit and the community around you. Consider joining us on Aug. 6! We look forward to seeing you all there.
