After reading Karyn Malone's letter in Tuesday's Chronicle letters to the editor (“every glass of milk”) I felt compelled to respond.
Malone, a Seattle resident, was telling me how drinking milk perpetuates a cycle of abuse unto dairy animals.
She further states that "the animal agriculture industry goes to great lengths to keep secret the horrors of dairy farming."
She wrote such a heartbreaking story that I knew I must write a response of equal quality, which I have given great thought to, marshaling together all of my thoughts on this matter before I weigh in with the meditations of my mind: Lady, you're an idiot.
