Letter to the editor: Inslee has been a complete and utter failure as governor

Posted

This letter is in response to the article on Gov. Jay Inslee dated Dec. 21, 2024.

So, Jay brags about preserving access to abortions, murdering our most precious and innocent, the unborn. However, he fails to say that he banned the death penalty for the most evil of those among us, murderers, rapists, pedophiles and even serial murderers.

He brags about his success with the homelessness crisis in our state. It’s worse now than ever. I read an article that stated, “if Seattle took all the money they spent on homelessness and gave it to the homeless it would make each homeless person a millionaire.”

He brags about infringing on our Second Amendment, the freedom to keep and bear arms, which shall not be infringed upon.

He brags about how he handled the COVID-19 pandemic. How many businesses were closed with his handling of COVID? How many people lost their jobs because of his mandate that said get vaccinated or lose your job?

Just recently our state had an over $2 billion surplus, and now we are in the red.

Jeff Bezos, one of the richest men in the world, was forced to leave the state because of the tax policies of Jay. How many more ultra rich are going to leave our state because of Jay’s tax policies?

Look at the climate control tax. It’s costing every taxpayer in the state who drives a car $.50 cents per gallon, and more in the future. And we are still in debt. Jay keeps raising taxes and figures out how to spend those increases and more.

What about the failed law he signed that stopped police from chasing criminals?

What about the fact that our state has the lowest police per capita in the country?

My assessment of Jay Inslee’s 12 years as our governor is a complete and utter failure.
