I find it ironic that coming a day after our local radio personalities gleefully assured us that the Biden Era of evil, budget-busting subsidies will soon subside and evaporate, we get an article touting the progress of our own little project concerning the providing of “free early learning education.”
Last April, The Chronicle gave us a more detailed and precise definition of that word — “free.”
“The federal budget package passed in March included $4 million in funding for the project secured by Murray. The additional state funding secured by Abbarno totaled $1.95 million. It was included in Washington State’s $1.3 billion supplemental capital budget.”
When we look out our window, do we sometimes see a bothersome reflection of ourselves?
