Letter to the Editor: Please Don’t Be a Mouthpiece for Murder

Posted

This is regarding a recent story by The Spokesman-Review published at chronline.com.

When a headline includes the abomination men call honor killing, it validates premeditated murder. Our minds read that and may automatically stick on the word “honor,” which is always a good thing.

To act honorably can never be evil, which leads people to discount a vast number of crimes against women. The label was created by murderers to justify the ungodly practice.

Please don’t be a mouthpiece for murder. Call it mariticide or homicide of a woman family member.
