I am writing today to express my support for Lewis County Commissioner Sean Swope.
Sean is a tireless “servant leader” for our county and communities. I say “servant leader” for a reason. It best describes him.
He is a leader in our community who happily serves those he represents, even if he may not agree with them on every issue. He is willing to listen to concerns and find middle ground on issues.
I am a registered Democrat; however, I vote for the person, not the party. Sean has been instrumental in addressing the homeless crisis in Lewis County. His leadership enabled law enforcement and other agencies to solve the problem instead of kicking it down the road.
Who’s happy we no longer have derelict RVs strewn all over our neighborhoods? Thank Sean.
I recently approached Sean with an idea to improve safety in our schools. Without hesitation, he took it on. Look for an announcement soon on safety improvements.
I am admittedly in favor of low and no new taxes. Even when my views are not popular, Sean returns my calls and we discuss details.
He doesn’t have to do this. I’m one guy with one vote on “the other team.” But Sean returns my calls. This speaks volumes of his character and integrity. What is integrity? It’s doing the right thing, even when no one is looking. That’s Sean Swope. He has my vote. He should have yours, too.
