Both sides of the aisle cannot dispute that abandoned vehicle removal on private property is unfair and unjust to owners and renters.
Find the last owners of the trash cans on wheels and deny them tabs, registration or license until they pay up.
The current laws favor irresponsible, criminal behavior and make a mockery of law enforcement officers.
Personally, we have one abandoned pickup that has sat for four years in sight.
Move it or lose it, especially if it is unregistered and on private property. Do this, or add a disposal fee for vehicles, to be paid on purchase.
