Apparently, qualifications to work in the new Trump administration include being a Vladimir Putin stooge or to have been a sexual abuser. Tulsi Gabbard has openly taken Russia’s side in the Ukraine War. Matt Gaetz, Pete Hegseth, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Linda McMahon all have sexual abuse allegations in their files. These allegations would be disqualifying in any other administration.
Having like-minded people around must make Donald Trump feel more normal. He has been convicted of sexual abuse and he owes his victim over a half billion dollars in court judgments.
Trump’s nominee for director of national intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has openly sided with Russia in the Ukraine war. She is a darling of Vladimir Putin and his Kremlin lackeys. We share intelligence with our longtime, true allies all the time that keeps us safer from terrorists. It is unlikely our allies such as the British, whose intelligence service is first rate, will be willing to share vital information with us when someone such as Gabbard is in charge.
As a congressman, Matt Gaetz made a habit of showing lewd pictures and videos of himself to fellow House members on the floor of the House. The girls in the photos and videos were all very young, at least one too young. The Justice Department declined to prosecute Gaetz because they thought there would be difficulty proving Gaetz knew the girl was underage. The investigation revealed Gaetz had participated in approximately 10 sexual orgies. Trump nominated him to be the attorney general. Fortunately, some GOP senators grew a small spine and Gaetz withdrew his nomination.
Pete Hegseth, Trump’s nominee to lead the 3 million people of the Defense Department, has no administrative experience and believes women should not be in combat. Tell that to the Israelis.
Hegseth has been accused of drugging and raping a woman in a Monterey, California, hotel room. He holds beliefs that include using the military against Americans if they are your political opponents, women don’t belong in combat and maybe not the military at all, climate change is a hoax and numerous other right wing extremist views.
Trump’s nominee to lead Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., spouts vaccine conspiracy theories and stories about eating roadkill and having a worm get into his head and eat part of his brain and then die there. Kennedy has been accused of sexual assault against the family babysitter.
McMahon has been accused of creating an atmosphere of sexual abuse at World Wrestling Entertainment, which she led with her husband. Perfect qualification to lead the Department of Education.
In his short, four-year reign from 37 AD to 41 AD , Roman emperor Caligula, famed for sexual orgies and other debauchery, descended into madness. At one point, he nominated his horse to be consul and challenged the Senate to confirm him. It showed his contempt for the power of the Senate and senators and was an attempt to humiliate and diminish them. Caligula was assassinated shortly thereafter.
Trump has not nominated any horses yet, but he has nominated a slew of horse’s asses.
