The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget (CRFB) has just published its findings that former President Trump’s campaign proposals would dramatically worsen Social Security’s finances.
CRFB is a nonpartisan group made up of budget experts from both political parties.
“President Trump’s proposals to eliminate taxation of Social Security benefits, end taxes on tips and overtime, impose tariffs, and expand deportations would all widen Social Security’s cash deficits. Under our central estimate, we find that President Trump’s agenda would create a 10-year cash shortfall of $2.3 trillion dollars and advance insolvency by three years leading to a 33% benefit cut by 2035.”
I can’t survive a benefit cut of that magnitude, can you?
Joe Kent is a mirror image of Donald Trump. I do not want him representing me. Let’s keep Marie GluesenKamp Perez in office.
