Lewis County Master Gardeners present ‘Blueberry Care’ class

The WSU Extension Lewis County Master Gardeners are offering an educational class titled “Blueberry Care” at 10 a.m. March 15 at the Providence Place Demonstration Garden in Chehalis.

Participants will learn about how to choose the right blueberry varieties for the Western Washington climate, planting techniques, soil management and important care practices to maintain thriving plants.

The Providence Place Demonstration Garden, located at 350 SE Washington Ave., Chehalis, offers an ideal backdrop. Attendees will have the opportunity to observe the garden’s established blueberry bushes and receive advice on how to replicate the results at home.



The Lewis County Master Gardeners is a volunteer organization dedicated to promoting sustainable and research-based gardening practices through education, community outreach, and hands-on learning opportunities.
