For the fourth year, the Lewis County Republican Party is extending an invitation to Lewis County high school seniors to apply for a scholarship.
Applicants should be enrolling in a post-secondary educational or a career training program in 2025.
The application is short and includes questions such as, “What does living in America mean to you?” The party also asks applicants to “list any activities, clubs, organizations or community service with which you have been involved.”
Previous awards have gone to students from W.F. West, Winlock and Toledo high schools.
The scholarships of $500 to $1,000 will be awarded to a few students to be used for tuition and books.
Applications will be accepted until May 1.
To receive an application, email lcrparty@gmail.com or contact the Lewis County Republican’s Scholarship Committee Chair Elizabeth Rohr at 360-703-4014.
