Lewis County Youth Mentorship Program holding logo design contest; winner gets kayak or paddle board

Posted

Artists in Lewis County ages 17 and younger are invited to enter logo designs for the Lewis County Youth Mentorship Program as part of a contest, according to an email from Program Coordinator Lisa Leon.

“We want our program logo to be designed by a youth in our community,” Leon said.

The deadline to submit a design is Dec. 31, with Lewis County employees voting to decide a winner who will be announced on Jan. 31.

Artists are asked to create a logo that represents mentorship and hope within Lewis County. All artwork must be original.

The winner will receive a new inflatable paddle board or kayak of their choosing along with a life jacket, of course, donated by the Lewis County Youth Association.

Logo designs can be submitted via email at Lisa.Leon@lewiscountywa.gov and must be in either JPEG or PDF formats. Artists are asked to include their name, age, email and phone number.

This contest is open to Lewis County residents only, and a parent or guardian must be present when claiming the prize. The winning artist will be notified by phone and email.

Once the contest is over, the rights to the winning logo will belong to the Lewis County Youth Mentorship Program and it will be the program’s new official logo.

The Lewis County Youth Mentorship Program aims to provide at-risk youth with opportunities to learn new skills, improve youth mental health, develop positive social behavior and receive positive adult support while reducing substance abuse and school absenteeism.
