Linda Kay Jennings Ross was born Sept. 15, 1946, in Tacoma, Wash. She was the seventh of eight children, to parents Arthur E. Jennings Sr. and Agnes Tiller Jennings. Linda passed away April 28, 2021, in Surprise, Ariz., surrounded by her children.
She attended school in Hoquiam, Morton, and Onalaska, Wash. Linda graduated from Centralia High School in 1964, and then attended Centralia College. She married James M. Cournyer in July of 1966, in Centralia, Wash. They were blessed with two sons, James Marion Cournyer Jr. and George Maxim Cournyer. In July of 1980, Linda married Darrell Heath in Edmonds, Wash., and they were blessed with two children, Ryan Darrell Heath and Kaylin Marie Heath. In 2011, Linda married Raymond Ross in Morton, Wash., and they lived in Surprise, Ariz.
As we celebrate Linda’s life, we remember her love of life and love of her family. She fought a gallant battle against cancer for many years, always with her chin up and a positive attitude. Linda loved to celebrate Easter and Christmas and everyone around her would receive an Easter basket and a Christmas stocking stuffed full. Linda had a mischievous side that was contagious and a saucy side that was just hilarious. She loved gardening with the kids, gambling, and breakfast out with anyone who wanted to join her. The more the merrier.
Linda is survived by her husband, Raymond Ross; sons, James (Megan) Cournyer of California, George Cournyer, Ryan (Breeze) Heath; and daughter, Kaylin (Jason) Williams, all of Surprise, Ariz.; her beloved grandchildren, Elliott Cournyer, Chloe, and George Cournyer, Edie, and Ethan Heath, Ayla, Aisley, and Autumn Williams; stepdaughters, Kimberly Heath and Brandy Ross; sister, Betty (Ben) Hutchison of Morton, Wash.; and brother, Arthur (Susan) Jennings of Meridian, Idaho. She loved and was loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Agnes Jennings; sisters, Dottie Mae and Mary Lou Gage; and brothers, Jerry E. Jennings, Larry (Hank) Jennings, and Charles E. Jennings.
Linda’s services will be held at 12 p.m., Friday, May 21, 2021, at Sticklin Funeral Chapel, followed by a reception at the same location. Graveside services will be at Claquato Cemetery in Chehalis, Wash.
