In its district opener, Chehalis 10-runned Capitol, 13-3, in four innings, led by Wyatt Hoffman’s standout performance on the mound and at the plate.
Hoffman fanned four batters in two innings of relief and was 3 for 3 at the plate with two triples. Luke McMillian was the winning pitcher, striking out one batter in one inning.
In game two against Montesano, Jamie Conzatti entered the game in relief with the bases loaded and one out and struck out the side to help Chehalis escape further damage.
Chehalis would go on to win 10-1 and advance to a title showdown with Montesano.
Conzatti finished with five Ks in 1.2 innings. Holden Kunz notched the win with two Ks in 2.1 innings.
Aiden Gunsolley was 3 for 3 at the plate with a home run and Kunz smashed a two-run homer.
