Spurred by two second half goals from Kaiyah Sandridge, Onalaska High School’s girls soccer team defeated Toledo 4-1 in the regular season finale on Wednesday night to finish as the C2BL runner-up.

The Loggers (11-4-1, 8-1 C2BL) will play the three seed that will either be Toledo or Adna in the semifinals of the Class 2B District 4 tournament that kicks off next Thursday, Nov. 7 at Tenino High School.

A 19th minute goal from Leighton Underhill kicked off the scoring for Onalaska, then Yuliana Escalera doubled the margin in the 30th minute. Toledo (9-6-1, 6-2-1) cut the deficit late in the first half on a Kailea Lairson goal that came off a corner kick in the 35th minute.

Despite having a 10-8 advantage in shots on goal, the Riverhawks never mustered an equalizer. Sandridge netted a goal in the 72nd minute and slotted home a penalty kick in the 78th minute.
