The Onalaska volleyball team won its fourth-straight game on Tuesday, sweeping Napavine 25-13, 25-10, 25-21.

“The girls came ready to play tonight,” Onalaska coach Susan Gordon said. “They were focused and just wanted to put together a solid performance. There was not one part of our game tonight that lacked intensity and effort.”

Emalie Jacoby tallied 18 digs and 18 kills, while Braelyn Babb led the way in assists with 25. Sommer Hammer added six digs and five kills, while Faith Hammer also had five kills and logged three aces and three blocks. Leah Hamilton delivered four aces from the servine line.

Napavine coach Monica Dailey said that she could tell from warmups that it would be an off night for the Tigers, saying that there wasn’t a lot of energy and intensity.

That carried over into the game, where Dailey said the Tigers made several unforced errors that gave Onalaska points.

“We were very sluggish,” Dailey said. “They’re not a team we can play sloppy against.”

Jessie McCoy, MaKayla Brett, Ava Ondong, and Lilly Grabianowski were all perfect from the service line, and McCoy added eight assists, five kills, and two aces. Brett also tallied seven digs and dive assists, while Kennedy Purvis tallied six kills.

Emily Kang was a consistent presence on serve receive, going 33 for 36 and collecting 14 digs.

Napavine (3-2) will get the chance to rebound on Thursday at home against Mossyrock in a non-league contest.

“We’ll see how they bounce back,” Dailey said. “It’s in their court, and they need to step up to the plate and play more aggressively.”

Onalaska (5-1) will head to Toledo for a non-league game on Thursday.
