The Onalaska girls basketball team made the trip west to Forks on Friday, and the Loggers left with a 58-51 victory.

The Loggers led by eight after one, but the Spartans fought back to get it within two. It was tight throughout the second half, but Onalaska was able to hold on for the win.

“Tonight was a gritty win,” Onalaska coach Alana Olson said. “It was a very physical game, and I was really proud of the girls’ effort all four quarters.”

Emalie Jacoby led the way with 36 points, while Delaney Marshall scored 10. Kaiyah Sandridge and Renzy Marshall both added four, and Capri McGraw and Leighton Underhill both added two.

Onalaska (9-1) will head to South Bend to face Raymond-South Bend on Saturday before starting league play at home against Rainier on Wednesday.
