Wahkiakum broke off a 22-point third quarter to put an emphasis on its 12-point halftime lead and Onalaska wasn’t able to keep up in a 55-33 defeat to the Mules at home Wednesday in Central 2B League play.

“We came out at the tip off really flat,” Onalaska coach Alana Olson said. “Normally our defense gets our offense going, but tonight we were flat on both ends of the court. We really let their pressure bother us.”

The Loggers were led offensively by Morgan Hamilton’s 11 points and a team-high three assists and three steals. Callie Lawrence added eight points and a team-high nine rebounds and Jaycee Talley chipped in six points and seven boards.

The Loggers shot 15 of 47 (32%) from the field and just 2 of 13 (15%) from deep. Ony finished with 29 rebounds and 19 turnovers on the night.

Onalaska (7-3, 1-1 C2BL) hosts Adna on Tuesday in another league tilt.
