It had been six years since the last meeting between Mossyrock and Onalaska, but the Loggers picked up where they left off in 2018 on Friday.

The Loggers handled the Vikings with ease, winning 62-8 for their sixth-straight victory against Mossyrock.

“Anytime you get a chance to beat the Mossyrock Vikings, it’s a great day to be a Logger,” Onalaska coach Mazen Saade said. “The Old Helmet gets to stay home for another year.”

Saade said that the team had been fired up for the matchup since the schedule came out, and it showed early and often.

Blaze Underhill found the end zone twice in the end zone in the first quarter, and Rodrigo Rodriguez also scored. Underhill scored another pair of touchdowns in the second, while Nick Rushton and Sam Pannkuk also hit paydirt to take a 56-0 lead into the break.

“They knew the task at hand all week long,” Saade said. “We were really pleased with how they executed.”

Underhill finished with 329 rushing yards and his four touchdowns, while Rodriguez rushed for 125 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

Easton Kolb ran in Mossyrock’s lone touchdown from just a yard out, and he finished with 82 yards rushing and 89 yards passing. Eathan Johnson was his favorite target, as he hauled in five catches for 73 yards.

With the win, Onalaska extended its lead in the all-time series to 28-15.

Mossyrock (0-3, 0-1 C2BL South) will look for its first league win next Friday at home against Winlock, while Onalaska (2-1, 1-0 C2BL South) will look for its third straight win at Rainier.
