The Onalaska girls soccer team held a slim advantage at halftime and held on for a 4-2 win over Raymond-South Bend in a road Central 2B League match Wednesday.

The Loggers (6-4, 4-1 C2BL) got goals in the 12th minute from Kaiyah Sandridge and in the 13th minute from Yuliana Escalera, and added another from Jaycee Talley in the 34th, but went into halftime up just by a goal at 3-2 thanks to two RSB goals.

Onalaska calmed things down in the second half, though, and Escalera put things away with an insurance goal in the 57th.

Jaycee Talley also had two assists. On the back line, Kate Zandell made 10 interceptions, while Kiley Talley and Leighton Underhill both had six interceptions.

Hailee Brown made four shots across the night.

Onalaska will get a week to prepare for a showdown at Kalama next Wednesday.
