The Onalaska girls basketball team had to shake off a slow start but did so with plenty of time to spare in what turned into a 58-29 win over Kalama on Tuesday.
“The girls worked really hard again tonight,” Onalaska coach Alana Olson said.
The Loggers (6-9, 2-5 C2BL) trailed 9-7 after a quarter, but ended the first half on a 12-6 run to go into the break up by five, and blew things open with a 24-5 run in the third quarter.
Randi Haight led the second half charge off the bench, drilling five 3-pointers and finishing with a game-high 19 points — all in the latter two quarters.
Emalie Jacoby and Cierra Berg both added 10 points for Onalaska, and Jaycee Kinsman had nine.
The Loggers will host Winlock on Thursday.
