Loggers Throttle Wildcats To Earn State Bid

Brooklyn Sandridge had a brace, Cierra Russ and Kaiyah Sandridge also got on the board, and the Onalaska girls soccer team prevailed, 4-1, over Ocosta to earn a trip to the 2B District 4 semifinals Monday night.

The Loggers outshot the Wildcats 14-7, and keeper Alex Cleveland-Barrera saved six shots in the win. Next up for the Loggers is a semifinals match against North division champion Adna on Thursday. While Ony has already secured a state bid, a good showing against Adna, and possibly a district title game appearance with a win, would help for seeding into the state tournament.

The district semis will take place on Thursday at Kalama High School, with Onalaska and Adna scheduled to play at 6 p.m.
