Loggers Win Second Straight on the Coast

After surrendering a goal in the eighth minute, the Onalaska girls soccer team rebounded on the road with two goals from the Sandridge sisters to beat Ocosta Wednesday, 2-1.

Out three of their typical starters, the Loggers turned to some new faces to get things done defensively, led by Kate Zandell and Kiley Talley. Ocosta managed seven shots, but converted just one of them on a penalty kick in the eighth minute. Logger keeper Hailee Brown finished with six saves in the win.

Brooklyn Sandridge scored the first of two goals for the Loggers, and later she found her sister, Kaiyah, for a second goal to take the lead for good in the second half.

The Loggers (2-1-2) take on Okanogan next at Quincy High School this Saturday.
