Lonnie Dean Collins passed away unexpectedly, May 22, 2021, at the age of 65, from complications associated with cavernomas (a sort of brain tumor) and pneumonia. He was born to Harold Collins and Wilma Collins (Yoder), May 12, 1956, in Chehalis, Wash.
Lonnie was the youngest of five siblings, William Collins, Larry Collins, Diane Thayer (Collins), and Les Collins. He married his wife, Kandy Collins (Archer) in 1975, and had three children, Jamie, Jason, and Jared Collins; nine grandchildren, Collin, Craig, Elizabeth, Amanda, Wyatt, Nathanial, Morgan, Aiden, and Averi; and three great-grandchildren, Brealeigh, MacKenzie, and Braxton; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Lonnie lived most of his life in Toledo, Wash. He worked in the logging industry and as a surveyor. He loved the outdoors. He also loved music and was part of several bands over the years, the last two being The Sidekicks and Alder Creek Band. He is now playing country, bluegrass and gospel music in God's holy band.
A celebration of life will be held June 6, 2021, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the Cowlitz Prairie Grange, in Toledo, Wash.
