Man wielding samurai sword arrested at Southwest Washington Walmart

A man wielding a samurai sword and threatening people was arrested in a Vancouver Walmart Sunday, Vancouver police said.

Ravi Saxena, 43, was walking in traffic around 5:30 p.m. in the 400 block of Southeast 192nd Ave. in Vancouver. Carrying a samurai sword, he proceeded to the parking lot of a Walmart on that block. He was allegedly screaming and threatening to hurt people, Vancouver police said.



Saxena stepped into the store right before police arrived. Officers found him inside the store and got him to surrender. In addition to the samurai sword he also had a 5-inch knife in his pocket, police said.

Nobody was injured in the incident, police said. Saxena could face charges including felony harassment and displaying a weapon.
