Marianne Betty Ross of Winlock, 77, passed away peacefully Nov. 11, 2019, at Providence Centralia Hospital. She was born to James and Marion Kay, Oct. 9, 1942, in Ballard, Wash.
After graduating from Ballard High School, Marianne went on to business school, later becoming a dog breeder of merit. She raised Shibas and was proud of her business of breeding and showing. Marianne was a proud member of the Evergreen Shiba Club and the American Kennel Club.
In July of 1967, she married her husband, Steven Ross and they were married 52 years. Steven and Marianne enjoyed traveling around and sightseeing. The couple was blessed with five children. Marianne was sweet, caring, honest and fair. She was strong willed yet sensible and believed in being fair and pleasant to everyone.
Marianne is survived by her husband, Steven Ross; two sons, Kurston Ross and Darrell McQuiston; two daughters, Sibyl Robinson and Tonya Gere.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Tamara Satoff.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019, at God’s Place Church, 100 Oyler Rd., Ethel, WA 98542.
