Marvin Louis Johnson: 1940-2021

Marvin Louis Johnson passed away of COVID-19 on Nov. 24, 2021, in Centralia, Washington. He was born Oct. 2, 1940, to Louis and Virginia Johnson in Centralia. Marv graduated from high school in Rochester, Washington, and attended Centralia College. He married Leona Irene Pearson on Sept. 1, 1961, in Canby, Oregon. She passed away April 7, 2013. Marv served in the U.S. Army for 25 years, worked in sales at Sears for 31 years, and owned Marv’s Evergreens. He built relationships everywhere he went. He loved everybody and they loved him. He always had a story and a joke. Marv drove the Pace Car at Tenino Speedway for many years. He loved the Seattle Seahawks, spending time outdoors, and his business. He is survived by his girlfriend Bonnie Owens Hanson; son Randy Johnson of Centralia; daughter Renee Eacker (husband Steve) of Centralia; eight grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; brothers Steve Johnson (wife Carol) of Vernon Hills, Illinois, and Dave Johnson (wife Arlene) of Oak Harbor, Washington; sister Sue Belcher (husband Bill) of Rochester, Washington; and several nieces and nephews.
