Morton Loggers’ Jubilee Back on the Calendar for This Summer

Posted

Much like many other local events, the Morton Loggers’ Jubilee was canceled in 2020 amid concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2021, the event is back on the calendar, and community members are showing their excitement on Facebook.

The 2021 Morton Loggers’ Jubilee is scheduled to take place from Thursday, Aug. 12, through Sunday, Aug. 15. It is set to kick off on Aug. 12 with a coronation, flea market and food vendor set up.

On the 13th, jubilee attendees can expect to watch “lawnmower races” followed the next day by a fun run, parade, logging show and street dance on Aug. 14.

The logging show will continue on Sunday, Aug. 15, according to the Morton Loggers’ Jubilee Facebook page.

While it’s not known what restrictions will be in place in August, Gov. Jay Inslee last week announced the entire state will be moving into Phase 3 of his reopening plan on March 22, meaning some events can be held with limits on attendance.
