The Morton-White Pass girls basketball team split two games at the Raymond-South Bend Holiday Classic, losing to Hoquiam 51-44 on Friday before bouncing back with a 46-22 win over Friday Harbor on Saturday.

The defense led the way for the Timberwolves against Friday Harbor, as they stormed out to a 16-1 lead and allowed four or fewer points in two quarters.

Ryelin Wiedenmann led the offensive effort with 15 points, while Chevy Fuller added 13 and Malia Armstrong scored 10.

MWP (4-4) will high the road again on Friday, when it will take on Highland in a non-league matchup.
