The Mossyrock girls basketball team held on to narrowly defeat Morton-White Pass on Thursday, coming away with a 43-36 win.
“It wasn’t our prettiest game for sure, but we did enough to get the job done,” Mossyrock coach Nick Rashoff said. “Everyone contributed and did good things for us.”
Kendall Cournyer led the Vikings with 13 points, while Adyson Barrows added 10. Taylor Schwartz scored eight points and nabbed seven steals on the defensive end.
Madyson Bryant led the Timberwolves with 13 points, while Ryelin Wiedenmann and Keira Miller both added six.
Mossyrock (5-1, 1-0 C2BL) will host Raymond-South Bend on Friday, while MWP (3-3, 0-1 C2BL) is off until Friday, Dec. 27, when it will play Hoquiam at South Bend High School. The following day, Dec. 28, the Timberwolves will face Friday Harbor in another game in South Bend.
